ように is required whenever the goal's agent differs from the main subject (子こどもが食たべるように、刻きざんだ). ために instead needs one shared subject throughout, never switching agents.
ふうに
ように marks a goal, something arranged to reach (忘わすれないように書かいておく). こんなふうに names the style already done in, no goal reading at all.

Lookalikes

ようになる
ようになる is a fixed idiom for a gradual change (話はなせるようになった). Purpose ように instead can precede any action you choose (電車でんしゃに間まに合あうように急いそいだ).
ようにする
ようにする's ように only ever precedes する／している／した (毎朝まいあさ走はしるようにしている). Purpose ように instead precedes a different main verb naming the actual action.

Notes

Purpose ように always joins a non-past, unmet goal. Past ＋ように is
always the resemblance よう (前まえに言いったように); non-past can be
that よう too (思おもうように).
