How it's formed1

Notes

に drops when the period is a bare 週しゅう・月つき・日にち (一日いちにち itself
fuses, and the count fuses on: 週三回しゅうさんかい, 一日三回いちにちさんかい),
common on labels and in speech. A counter-phrase period keeps に
(一週間いっしゅうかんに三回さんかい).
