good at doing — の nominalizes the verb so the na-adjective 上手 can grade it with が

Counterparts: 下手[へた] (bad at) and 得意[とくい] — 上手 praises others, so for your own skill 得意 is the safe choice (歌[うた]うのが得意です).

のが好き
Same のが frame turning a verb into a likeable thing, but 好き reports the subject's own taste while 上手 grades their skill from outside — so 私は歌うのが上手 sounds boastful where 私は歌うのが好き is unremarkable.
